Fall Pre-Semester Housing
Prior to the start of fall semester students may move into their assigned building and room prior to the official move-in dates as availability permits.

The 2014-15 official move-in dates for the residence halls are as follows:
First Year students Thursday, August 21, 2014
Upper Class students Saturday, August 23, 2014 & Sunday, August 24, 2014

To stay on campus prior to the start of the fall semester, students should log in to MyCard at and click on the Pre-Semester Break Housing section any time prior to the official move-in day. Students who pre-register for pre-semester housing are charged $34.00 per day. Students who do not register for housing and access their room are charged $55 per day. All pre-semester housing charges are billed the the student's bursar account.

Pre-Semester registration is available when logged into MyCard ( and begins on August 1. The first day a student can request to return to campus is August 15. Students associated with a group (ex. Marching Band, MADE, Athletic Teams) are permitted to arrive earlier, those requests are coordinated through the group contact.

There is not an official check-in station provided during pre-semester housing. After a student registers for pre-semester housing, room access is assigned to their ID card. When students arrive on campus, they should go directly to their assigned room with their ID card to begin moving in. Students who arrive prior to the official move-in day should stop by registration on the official move-in day to register and receive important building information. If a student doesn't have an ID card, they should stop by Shriver Center, Room 111 before going to their assigned residence hall/room.

For the most part, Pre-Semester arrangements are approved for students to move-in to their permanent room assignments as assigned for the academic year. However, due to various Summer and construction activities on campus, there is an occasional need to place students into temporary housing assignments until their permanent rooms become available. Any such need for a temporary placement is communicated directly with any student affected.
