Marcum Conference Center Renovation

First Floor Plans

• Extension of east and west wings to allow for ten new hotel rooms on the first floor and twelve new rooms on the second floor.
• Replacement of arched windows along main hallway due to age and condition.
• Creation of a central continental breakfast and refreshment break area in the lobby. This area will also serve as a bar in the evening.
• Covering brick hallway with carpet to reduce noise.
• Reconfiguration of the front desk to allow for updates to surfaces and layout.
• Renovation of public restrooms to comply with ADA regulations.
• Renovation of room 102, a tiered classroom, to create a multi-use meeting space.

Second Floor Plans

• Addition of twelve new hotel rooms.
• Existing small rooms will be combined to create larger rooms and suites.
• All hotel rooms receive new finishes, wall covering and furniture.
• When complete, there will be eight King suites, five rooms with two Queen beds and forty-two rooms with King beds.

Exterior and General Facility

• Expansion of the courtyard to allow for increased use for events.
• Replacement of wood courtyard doors with glass doors.
• Newly constructed hotel rooms will run on geothermal heating and cooling.
• Installation of a charging station for electric vehicles in the parking area.
• Fresh paint and landscaping for the Pulley Pavilion.
• Removal of the drive that encircles the Marcum Center. Access to the parking lot will be from the west side of the building.
