Mary Lyon Hall at Miami University
Mary Lyon Hall
Mary Lyon Hall, located on Western Campus, was built in 1924 and is named after Mary Lyon, the founder of Mount Holyoke, the New England female seminary that Western College for Women was fashioned after. It was originally constructed to accommodate a growing student population of over 300 applicants in 1934. Miami University purchased this building along with the rest of Western Campus in 1973. All rooms are equipped with: twin-XL low-level loft beds(80" x 36" mattress size), which allow room for the dresser to fit under the bed , desks, ergonomic chairs, window shades, ceiling lights, and small trash cans. The hall is conveniently located by Alexander Dining Hall, an all you care to eat location, and The GreyStone.
